SELENOMUNE

Designer Energy Powder

A new concept in nutritional energy
to provide the proven energy essentials

NEW ENERGY POWDER

Selenomune is a nutritional powder formulated to provide supplemental amounts of the most essential minerals plus antioxidants for the immune system.

Selenomune is specifically designed to boost energy production from the mitochondria. The mitochondria are the energy factories inside every cell in the body and they produce the natural energy chemical called ATP. If the mitochondria are not producing sufficient ATP, the cells will not have the energy to perform their vital functions. This can lead to many symptoms of poor health including Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. In this situation it is important to supply the mitochondria with the raw materials they need to increase their production of energy.

Those suffering with chronic fatigue may not be able to obtain adequate minerals and vitamins from the diet and in this situation various super foods are of great benefit in boosting the mitochondria. Deficiencies of minerals are common because soils are often mineral depleted and processing of foods further depletes their mineral content. Poor digestion and absorption of foods and nutrients from the gut can further increase the incidence of mineral deficiencies.

The bones of the skeleton require trace minerals along with calcium to prevent osteoporosis. Trace minerals are vitally important for the immune system to control infections from viruses, bacteria and fungi. Some minerals such as selenium and zinc are anti-inflammatory and are of great assistance in reducing skin diseases and allergies.

Possible symptoms of trace mineral deficiency are:

Fatigue, dizziness, light headedness, sugar cravings, hair loss, bone loss, skin diseases, body and venereal warts, recurrent viral infections, allergies and muscular and joint pains ( rheumatism in old terminology which is now called fibromyalgia ).

SELENOMUNE CONTENTS

Selenomune contains a special designer yeast cultivated to incorporate a high concentration of essential trace minerals such as selenium, boron, zinc, manganese, chromium and molybdenum. It also contains the minerals calcium and magnesium.

The special designer yeast in Selenomune is very beneficial for nutritional health and just as there are both good and bad bacteria found in the intestines, there are good and bad yeasts. The yeast in Selenomune is a good yeast, in that it enhances nutrition and immunity, whereas the bad yeasts ( pathogenic yeasts ) such as candida, will deplete the body of energy and increase the workload of the immune system.

Let us take a look at the individual ingredients found in Selenomune:

Antioxidants
Lecithin
Alfalfa
Kelp
Maleic acid
Amino acids Minerals

Antioxidantsfrom carrot, beetroot and barley grass powder. Mixed tocopherols to provide the full range of Vitamin E isomers. Vitamin C in the form of ascorbic acid is present to provide extra antioxidant capability.

Lecithin is present to provide phosphatidyl choline needed for healthy brain function.

Alfalfa provides a cleansing effect and contains valuable plant hormones ( phyto-sterols )

Kelp  The sea herb Kelp, is added to provide a broad spectrum of micro-minerals which are needed by the thyroid gland

Maleic acid is present to boost the mitochondria and the importance of maleic acid in the production of energy is well established. Maleic acid supplementation has been found to help those with chronic fatigue and fibro-myalgia

Amino acids ( including the essential amino acids ), are present in the designer yeast powder base of Selenomune

Minerals

Boron is a vitally important trace mineral required for the metabolism of vitamin D, calcium, phosphorous and magnesium needed for strong bones and muscles. For these reasons boron helps to prevent post menopausal osteoporosis and builds muscle. A study conducted by the US Department of agriculture indicated that within 8 days of supplementing the daily diet with boron, a test group of post menopausal women lost 40 % less calcium and 33 % less magnesium in their urine, than before beginning boron supplementation.

Molybdenum is a mineral required in trace amounts for the healthy metabolism of food. It promotes efficient cellular function by being a component of many cellular enzymes. A low intake of molybdenum is associated with mouth and gum disorders and cancer, and may reduce sexual performance. Molybdenum supplementation can help those with chronic fatigue due to the overuse of antibiotics and candida infestation. It has also been found to reduce muscular pain, headaches, poor concentration and depression.

Chromium is a mineral often referred to as "the glucose tolerance factor" because it is vital for the control of glucose ( sugar ) metabolism. It maintains stable blood sugar levels by improving the utilization of insulin and can help those with hypoglycemia and diabetes. Chromium is helpful for those with chronic fatigue due to unstable blood sugar levels and sugar addiction.

SELENIUM is a mineral vital to the immune system, so much so that some have called it " the viral birth control pill " because of its ability to help those with recurrent viral illness. Relatively harmless viruses can become virulent when attacking a selenium deficient host.

Selenium deficiency has been shown in several studies to have adverse effects upon susceptibility to many diseases such as cardiovascular disease and cancer. Those with a strong family history of cancer, especially breast cancer, would be wise to ensure adequate selenium intake.

A study reported in the Journal of the American Medical Association in December 1996 supports the hypothesis that supplemental selenium reduces the incidence of, and mortality from, cancers of several body sites.

Selenium also exerts a significant anti-inflammatory effect, which is helpful for skin problems, muscular and joint inflammations and auto-immune diseases. Indeed just about any chronic inflammatory process attacking the body's most important organs such as the heart, liver, kidneys, lungs, skin and endocrine glands should be treated with supplemental selenium.

Selenium is a powerful antioxidant and reduces free radical damage of the fatty membranes and genetic material ( DNA ) inside the cells. This is partly due to its role in the intracellular antioxidant glutathione peroxidase enzymes.

Selenium is vital for the conversion of thyroid hormone to its active form ( T3 ) and so will help those with thyroid resistance and weight excess due to an under-active thyroid gland.

The fascinating article in the February 1997 issue of the British Medical Journal by Margaret Rayman brings home the problem of widespread selenium deficiency in many countries, which is contributing to the emergence of ever increasingly virulent viruses.

In Britain all farm animals are given selenium to boost fertility and increase resistance to infectious diseases and cancer. It is unfortunate that the medical profession has not yet caught on to the fact that selenium deficiency is a widespread and serious problem.
